When is Westfield Farm available to host weddings?We are a seasonal venue that runs May through October.

What is your maximum capacity?120 guests

What is the venue fee?The rental fee is $5000 for Weddings. Non- wedding event fees determined by availability and event type.

What’s included in the venue fee?The venue fee includes full use of the grounds for your ceremony, reception, and photos. No competing events will occur during your event. Planning guidance and vendor referrals, as well as layout and schedule suggestions, a rehearsal and walk-through the week of your event are included.

Do I need tenting?Tenting is highly recommended since New England weather can be so unpredictable.

How long do I have for our event at Westfield Farm?Most Saturday weddings run approximately 5-6 hours. You have five hours for your cocktail/reception and an additional hour for a ceremony. Sunday or off-season weddings often begin earlier in the day. Non-wedding events are typically booked in blocks of 3-4 hours. Our team is happy to discuss accommodating your unique event schedule.

Are there any rules about when events must end?All weddings and events must wrap up by 10pm per City of Middletown noise ordinance.

Do you have a place for the wedding parties to get ready?Yes, there are a few options for the bridal party to get ready on the property. We also have an exclusive arrangement with- Something Mobile Wedding Suite, a mobile bridal suite! Ask us for details!

Do you have an onsite coordinator we would be working with?We include an onsite coordinator and a parking attendant at no additional charge.

Do I need a Wedding Planner?Westfield Farm can provide on-site coordination for the day of your wedding. We allow outside event planners and encourage them for larger weddings and more complex events. Our in-house event team can help guide you with referrals and suggestions for planning your big day.

Can I bring my own vendors at Westfield Farm?Yes, we allow our clients to bring in vendors of their choice with certain restrictions. Tenting, staging and lighting companies must also be approved. Please refer to our Preferred Vendor list for our other approved vendors. All outside vendors working at Westfield Farm must provide certificate of liability insurance with Westfield Farm listed as an additional insured. Please carefully review your rental agreement for further details.

Do you allow couples to provide their own decor?Decorations are great so long as it is not a fire hazard and has been ok'd with us in advance. No open candles/ flames allowed.

Can my DJ bring more lighting and special effects?Lighting needs to be ok'd with us in advance. We do not allow strobes, snow/smoke machines, excessive light rigs, or moving lights. ​

Are rehearsals included?We allow up to an hour for your ceremony rehearsal, coordinated by Westfield Farm. ​​

Do you allow outside alcohol to be served?All alcohol must be served by a licensed vendor with a catering liquor license issued by the state of Connecticut. Your caterer can bring in alcohol and bartenders if they have a liquor license. Or you may hire a licensed service to provide the alcohol and bartenders. ​

Do we have to clean up after the event?Yes, you should instruct your caterer on proper clean-up procedures as per the Rental Agreement. Decorations, gifts, flowers, and other decor should be packed-up and organized the same night as your event and removed from the space at the end of the evening.

Do we need Event Insurance?As per the Rental Agreement, hosts are required to provide a one-day host liability insurance policy at their own cost. Even though all your vendors will be insured, this is an added layer of protection for you as the host. It is easy to purchase this type of insurance and we can recommend insurers. All vendors must provide proof of insurance as well.

What is required to book my event at Westfield Farm?A nonrefundable deposit and a completed rental contract is required to secure a date.
